"From dirt-covered kid to pest control expert"
It all started the summer of 1980 in New York. A five-year-old kid tagging along to his father's landscaping job, getting filthy in the dirt and clay while the crew built a baseball field. Orange handprints covered the new F-250, and clothes were a complete mess.
"Why are you always in the dirt?" his father asked. The kid just grinned: "Well, ya got me workin'!" His dad laughed and shook his headβ"You're a jitterbug. You gotta be a brat. Always in the dirt." That's when it happened: "I am a brat! I'll be a Yard Brat!"
And just like that, a name was born. What started as a joke between a father and his messy kid grew into Yard Brat Landscaping, then a sod farm, a nursery, and eventually Yard Brat Pest & Termite Control.
